RJAE amplifies airtight wordplay through slick and soulful harmonies, mastering two sides of a scorching signature style. As his parents separated, the New Orleans-born rapper and singer lived with his mom and cranked out freestyles at a prolific pace. In 2016, he uploaded the track “A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie.”
Soon after, the star caught wind of it, and the two developed a friendship. Meanwhile, RJAE began to pop off with his independent B.A.E. EP. The single “Not Enough” [feat. Bang Bang & ReeZo] impressively amassed 2.2 million streams on Soundcloud. Shortly after, he delivered a showstopping debut performance at House of Blues New Orleans as part of “Bringing Down the House,” making waves through the city.
Forming Die Rich Entertainment with his cousins K4 and Kutta, he unleashed the follow-up EP, Northway, in 2019. Boogie shouted him out in an interview with Ebro as RJAE joined the Highbridge crew on the road across North America.
Upon settling back in New Orleans during 2020, he linked up with Good Money Global—home to YoungBoy Never Broke Again and more. Posting up 20 million total streams and views independently, RJAE chases a timeless ambition in his music illustrated by a series of singles in 2021 and beyond.
